You can carry an idea for years, love creating, writing or teaching, and still never find the moment to begin. The talent does not disappear. Sometimes it waits behind a very persuasive series of “later”. A book about this subject cannot do the work for us, but it can help us name what holds us back and choose a first step.
From potential to a concrete action
A project often looks too large when we try to imagine it finished before it has started. It becomes easier to approach when we ask what we can do today: write one page, practise a technique, ask for feedback or return to a draft. Small actions do not promise instant results. They give a real shape to what was only an intention.
Ce livre va t’empêcher de gaspiller tes talents (Désolé😃) speaks to readers who recognise the gap between what they could do and what they are already doing. With faith, humour and candour, it encourages them to move beyond excuses. Each chapter ends with an exercise, giving reflection a practical next step. The book received first prize at the International Christian Book Fair in the Faith and Growth category.
Learning to become skilled
Discovering a gift and developing it are different stages. Devenir Habile continues the conversation through learning, practice and the quality of our work. Motivation provides momentum, but skill grows with time and attention. Progress may not follow the dramatic rhythm we imagined; often, we notice it only when we look back.
If an idea has been with you for a long time, why not give it a specific place in your week? Choose a step small enough to complete and concrete enough to leave a trace. The next page does not have to be perfect. It needs to exist.
