Many people would like to draw but stop at “I cannot do it.” Drawing can start with something simple: observing. A shape, a line or a colour spotted in a book or on a walk is enough to open a sketchbook.
Start small
Choose a nearby object and give yourself five minutes. Look at its outline, then try to draw it without seeking a perfect result. Repeating the exercise tomorrow with a different object can feel freer than trying to finish a large illustration at once.
Draw together
With a child, everyone can interpret the same subject in their own way. Comparing the results becomes fun: one person notices details while another invents colours. J’apprends à dessiner can accompany these moments and make room for regular creative time.
Keep your first sketches. They tell a story of progress that may be hard to notice day by day. The pleasure of looking and trying already deserves a place on the page.
